Today, May 6th, King Charles III was crowned. Did you know that this is our third coronation? Coronation Hall – then the MacDougall Dance Hall – was already a going concern when George VI ascended the throne on May 12 1936; the name was changed to celebrate the day. Then, in 1953 on June 2 Elizabeth II was crowned – and at Coronation Hall in Bristol Quebec, people watched the news reels and celebrated at the hall. Given this history, we of course had to do something to mark the occasion.
So we’re having a party! And we’re launching our new hopped cider, ‘Thomas Graham Hopped’, in honour of our ancestor who first came to Bristol all those many years ago in 1838.
